Bonner, Ogles Sign Letters of Intent

MESA, AZ - Jeffrey Bonner (So., Houston, Texas/Fountain Hills (AZ) H.S.) and Tre Ogles (So., Glendale, AZ/ Deer Valley H.S.) have become the latest members of the Mesa men's basketball team to sign letters of intent with four-year schools.

Bonner will head to West Texas A&M, in Canyon, Texas, while Ogles will join former teammate Tylor Wimbish at the University of St. Louis, Mo.

Bonner averaged averaged 7.6 points and 3.8 rebounds per game and often drew the opponents' toughest offensive player as a defensive assignment.

Ogles had a 12.8 scoring average and was a deadly three-point shooter for MCC as the T-Birds won the Region I title, as well as the ACCAC regular-season championship while compiling a 26-5 record.

The pair join Shy McClelland (So., Milwaukee, Wisc/Northwest Secondary H.S.) who has signed with the University of Detroit, Camyn Boone (So., Seattle, Wash/Mountain View H.S.) who will play next year at Missouri State and Kyle Tomlinson (So., Mesa, AZ/Dobson H.S.) headed for Alaska-Fairbanks, as one of the best groups of MCC players to move forward to four-year schools in many years.
