Another MCC Football Recruit Being Courted by Division I

MESA, AZ - The football season won't begin for months, but yet another Mesa recruit for 2014 is already receiving an offer from an NCAA Division I school.

Offensive guard Andy Erbes, a Scottsdale, AZ native and graduate of Saguaro H.S., has been offered by Memphis for the 2015 season.

Erbes was a preferred walk-on at Arizona State last year and would like to move back to the PAC 12, preferably a coastal school

The 6-3, 295-pounder will be able to leave MCC in December and still have three years of NCAA eligibility remaining.

The T-Birds have sent 19 from last year's 8-3 team that played in the Heart of Texas Bowl to Division I schools and Erbes, as well as offensive lineman Brandon Pertile, are already on the DI radar.
