MCC baseball snaps losing streak on Saturday

The baseball team snapped their 12 game losing streak on Saturday as they defeated Glendale CC, 5-4.
The Thunderbirds got on the board in the first as they put up one run and were able to hold a 1-0 lead into the bottom of the fifth inning. The Gauchos tied the game up in their home half of the 5th, but MCC answered back in the 7th as they would put up three runs while only giving up one in the home half of the inning.
The Thunderbirds would tack one more on in their half of the 9th inning and were able to hold GCC to just one run in the bottom of the 9th to secure the 5-4 victory.
With the win MCC's record improves to 16-27 (4-24 ACCAC). This is the teams first conference win since March 14.
The team will be back in action on Tuesday as they host Chandler-Gilbert Community College.
