Both the MCC baseball and softball teams were unable to get a win in their doubleheaders on Saturday.

The softball team traveled to take on No. 9 South Mountain. In the first game MCC was able to jump out in the top of the first inning and take a 1-0 lead. SMCC answered by putting up eight runs in the next three frames. MCC would tack on one in the 4th and 5th inning but it wasn't enough as they fell, 11-3 in five innings.

In game two the teams were tied 3-3 going into the bottom of the 5th inning when SMCC would swing momentum in their favor as they put three runs on the board. MCC wasn't able to counter as they dropped game two, 6-3.

With the losses the Lady T-Birds record falls to 18-12 overall, and 12-12 against ACCAC opponents. The team will be back in action Tuesday as they travel to take on Yavapai College in a doubleheader.

The MCC baseball team dropped their doubleheader to Yavapai College.

In game one the Thunderbirds were only able to put up one run in the game, this is the 7th game of the season they have scored one or fewer runs. MCC fell to Yavapai, 8-1.

In game two the T-Birds were able to put seven runs, but it was not enough as Yavapai was able to mount a comeback late in the game to take a 9-7 victory over the T-Birds.

With the losses the team's record drops to 15-20 overall, and 3-17 against ACCAC opponents. The baseball team will be back in action on Tuesday as they travel to Arizona Western for a doubleheader.
