MCC baseball walked off Western Nebraska Community College Thursday afternoon, 7-6.

After a back and forth game the Cougars and Thunderbirds found themselves in a one run game going into the 9th inning. With a runner on first,WNCC's Shintaro Inoue would hit an RBI triple off the center field wall to tie the game up at six apiece.

In the bottom of the 9th MCC's Jayden Israel led the inning off with a single and advanced to second when Thomas Schreffler was hit by a pitch. That brought up Jake Vrlak who hit a single into left field bringing Israel home to score the winning run.

With the win MCC gets back to .500 baseball with a 15-15 overall record, while holding a 3-13 conference mark.

The Thunderbirds will host Arizona Christian University JV tomorrow, first pitch will be at 12:00 p.m.
