Complete Game by Easton Brinton Paces #2 Mesa @ Glendale in 4-1 Victory

Glendale, AZ - Sophomore Easton Brinton toed the rubber Tuesday afternoon at Glendale and he was bound and determined to be the only Mesa pitcher to toe the rubber that day for the T-Birds.  Brinton had the Gauchos off balanced all afternoon as he only allowed three hits on the day, going three up-three down in five of nine innings he threw.

Brintons stellar pitching paced Mesa to a 4-1 victory over its ACCAC opponent.  The Mesa offense had 11 hits on the afternoon, scoring two early runs in the first to give Brinton a cushion for the rest of the game.

Luke Francis knocked in the T-Birds first two runs of the game with a single to left field with the bases loaded.  Francis in the third scored on a Gaucho error while Taylor Darden knocked in the T-Birds fourth run on a single up the middle to center field.

Mesa moves to 13-1 overall on the season and 2-1 in conference play.  The T-Birds and Gauchos will play again tomorrow at Mesa, beginning at 3 pm.
