Mesa XC/Track & Field sends six athletes to continue their collegiate careers

MCC Cross Country/Track & Field is excited to announce a group of outstanding T-Birds who are moving on to continue their athletic careers.
Taylor Jacobs - Women's Cross Country & Track & Field:
Jacobs will continue her athletic career close to home as she will attend Northern Arizona University. Jacobs finished off her T-Bird career with more than 10 All-American honors in her two seasons in Track & Field. Jacobs will also leave Mesa while holding six school records between both Indoor & Outdoor Track & Field. Jacobs was also a member of the 2022 Women's Cross Country team that earned National Runner-Up honors.
Greyson Akers - Men's Cross Country & Track & Field:
Akers will continue his athletic career at Grand Canyon University after a successful two years as a T-Bird. Akers was an All-American in Cross Country in his sophomore year. In his two seasons in Track & Field Akers is a multi time All-American in the 4X800 event.
Javier Garcia - Men's Cross Country & Track & Field:
Garcia will be continuing his athletic career at Western New Mexico State University after two seasons at Mesa for both Cross Country & Track & Field. Garcia was an All-American in Cross Country and Track & Field in his freshman year.
Wyatt Williams - Men's Cross Country & Track & Field:
Williams will be joining Garcia as he will also attend Western New Mexico State University after two years at Mesa. In his sophomore Track & Field season Williams finished top 5 in the 10k three times.
Samuel Green - Men's Cross Country & Track & Field:
Green will attend Utah State University after his time as a T-Bird. Green had a very successful Track & Field season becoming a multi time All-American and walking away as the holder of two school records.
Ernest Green - Men's Cross Country & Track & Field:
Ernest will unite with his twin brother at Utah State University after his time at MCC. Green is also a multi time All-American for Track & field and will walk away from his time at Mesa as the owner of two school records.
