6 teams in action on Saturday

6 of MCC's finest athletic teams will take to their respective playing areas on Saturday.

Baseball

The baseball team will travel to take on Glendale Community College for the last time this season. The Gauchos have won all three of the previous games this year including an 11-2 victory over the Thunderbirds yesterday afternoon. 

The Thunderbirds come in with a 15-27 overall record (3-24 ACCAC). The Gauchos come in with a 24-20 overall record (11-16 ACCAC).

First pitch will be at 12:00 p.m.

Softball

The softball team will take a trip down south to Tucson as they will visit Pima Community College for an ACCAC doubleheader.

The Lady T-Birds come in with a 21-15 overall record (15-15 ACCAC). The Lady Aztecs come in with a 21-14 overall mark (17-9 ACCAC). This will be the first meeting between the two teams as their earlier scheduled doubleheader was rained out and rescheduled for April 20.

The first game will begin at 12:00 p.m. with the second game to follow at 2:00 p.m.

Tennis

The men's and women's tennis team will host Grand Canyon University Club in a non-conference contest.

The MCC men's team enters with a 6-5 overall record and a perfect 6-0 ACCAC record. The Lady T-Birds have a 4-7 overall record and a 2-3 conference mark. The contest will begin at 12:00 p.m.

Track and field

The men's and women's track and field team will finish up their second day at the Triton Invitational in San Diego California.
