Mesa will host "Battle of the Badges" Friday night

  Mesa, AZ – John D. Riggs Stadium will host a truly unique event Friday when the ninth annual Battle of the Badges football game is contested.

  The charity event will pit First Responders from the North Valley and South Valley in an eight-man game with the local community the ultimate winner.

  Proceeds from the event will benefit injured officers as well as provide scholarships to several MCC First Responder students.

  There will be a Job Fair/Non-Profit Fair/College Fair beginning at 4:30 p.m. That will be followed by a Teen Game at 5:30 and the Battle of the Badges at 7:00.

  The night is sponsored by MCC Public Safety, MCC Athletics, Student Life & Leadership, Native Strength, American Indian Science & Engineering Society, and Student Veterans of America.
