Feroz Rast, former head coach of the Paradise Valley Community College women’s tennis team from 2013 to 2019, has been named head coach of both the men’s and women’s tennis programs at Mesa Community College since 2020.

Before joining Mesa, Rast spent seven seasons leading the PVCC women’s team, and prior to that, he coached for the City of Phoenix from 2008 to 2013. During his time with the City of Phoenix, he worked at Mountain View and Granada Park, where he coached both juniors and adults. Additionally, Rast served as the head coach for the Paradise Valley High School boys’ tennis team from 2011 to 2013.

As head coach at PVCC, Rast guided the women’s tennis team to its first-ever appearance in the NJCAA national tournament in 2017. He was honored as the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) Coach of the Year twice, in 2016 and again in 2019. Rast’s success extends beyond the court; his teams posted the highest team GPA among all sports at PVCC during the 2014–15 and 2016–17 seasons. Throughout his tenure, he coached numerous Academic All-Americans and maintained a strong graduation rate among his athletes.
