Bio

Mitchell Briggs is entering his first year as an collegiate assistant coach for cross country. Mitchell grew up in Everett, WA and competed in cross country and track at Jackson High School. He went on to Brigham Young University (BYU) on scholarship in XC & indoor/outdoor track. While at BYU he ran on multiple conference title teams and BYU's XC team that finished 7th overall in 2016. In track he was a 4-time regional qualifier (3 in the  Steeplechase, 1 in the 5k) and finished 17th as honorable mention All-American at NCAA Championships in the Steeplechase in 2017. He coached XC and track at Provo High School after graduating and in 2019 won a track state title with his girls track program. He is married to Kristi Briggs, a BYU XC/track alum, and they have two girls.
