Three more MCC Track & Field school records were broken over the weekend as the Thunderbirds ramped up for indoor nationals at the Don Kirby Indoor Invitational.

Darius Brown broke the men's indoor 200m record of 21.32 seconds set by Tyson Tippett in 2022. Brown set a new standard for the event as he finished in 21.29 seconds.

Ernest Green set a new school record in the men's indoor 800m as he beat the previous record of 1:53.45 set by Noah Clark in 2022. Green finished the event with a time of 1:52.26. Green's twin brother Samuel set a new school record in the mile at the Jim Mielke Memorial Invitational in January.

The Lady T-Birds also set a school record as their 4x400m relay team of Deshay Turner, Diane Ondobo, Reanna Campbell, and Taylor Jacobs finished the event with a time of 3:48.13. Ondobo and Jacobs broke their own record as they along with Zaria Hamilton and Katherine Lemish set the mark in 2023 with a time of 3:52.40.
