Women's Track & Field Sixth at Triton Invitational

San Diego, CA - The Thunderbirds women's track & field team finished in sixth place at the Triton Invitational Saturday evening.

The lady T-Birds scored 52 points overall. UNLV won the meet with 135 points, UC San Diego was second with 97 points, and Central Arizona was third with 56 points. CSU San Bernardino and CSU San Marcos were tied for fourth with 53 points each.

Taylor Jacobs was third in the 800m run and broke the 39-year-old school record (Julie Noble - 2:14.04) as she ran a personal-best time of 2:13.46.

Katherine Lemish ran a PB time of 14.58 seconds in 100m hurdles and was a national qualifying mark.

Story Alexander was second in the 3000m steeplechase with an 11:46.71 PB. Zaria Hamilton was fifth in the 400m dash (56.90 PB). Additionally, Zana Ryan was eighth in the 100m dash (12.22).

The 4x400m relay was first overall with a time of 3:50.77 and the 4x100m relay was fourth with a time of 48.11.

The lady T-Birds will host the Mesa Outdoor next Friday, April 14th, at John D. Riggs Stadium on the Southern & Dobson campus.
