Women's tennis takes first win, tops Glendale, 4-0

  Mesa, AZ – The Mesa women's tennis team picked up its first win of the season with a 4-0 victory over Glendale Thursday.

  MCC won at No. 1 and No. 2 singles with Kendra Farrell and Sage Schula picking up their first wins of the season. Farrell won, 6-1, 6-0, over Sara Sye and Schula took the No. 2 match over Dana Jang, 6-2, 6-0.

  Farrell and Schula then combined to defeat Sye and Jang, 8-4, at No. 1 doubles.

  The win improves the T-Birds to 1-2 for the year. GCC was playing its first match.

  Mesa has a tough assignment Saturday, taking on New Mexico Military at home at 1:30 p.m.
