MCC Soccer travels to Glendale CC on Tuesday for an ACCAC battle.
Women's Soccer:
The Lady T-Birds come in with a 5-9 overall record and a 4-9 conference mark. MCC is on a roll and playing their best soccer of the season as they have won their last three games.
The Gauchos enter play on Tuesday with a 5-9 overall record and a 3-8 conference mark. GCC has lost their last two games where they were shut out by both Chandler-Gilbert and Phoenix College.
When it comes to the postseason for the Lady T-Birds it's simple, win and you have a shot. Currently MCC is on the outside looking in when it comes to playoff soccer, holding the fifth seed when it comes to DII teams. CGCC sits in the fourth and final playoff position, with an MCC win and a CGCC loss to Cochise College the Lady T-Birds will be flying into the postseason.
Men's Soccer:
No. 12 Men's Soccer comes in with a 6-2-4 overall record and a 4-1-4 conference mark. The Thunderbirds have won their last three games in which they've outscored their opponents 13-4.
Glendale CC comes into play on Tuesday with a 9-4-1 overall record and a 6-4 conference mark. The Gauchos have won five straight including a 3-0 victory over No. 4 Phoenix College.
The matchup on Tuesday will prove extremely important for both teams. Currently Glendale and MCC are tied for the third playoff spot. The winner tonight would hold sole possession of that position.
An interesting note to remember is that the regular season will end tonight for GCC while MCC still has a make-up game to play on Saturday against South Mountain.
The women's match will begin at 4:30 p.m. and the men will follow at 7:00 p.m.
