Women's Soccer hosts Gateway on Friday for an ACCAC contest

MCC Women's Soccer welcomes Gateway CC into John D. Riggs Stadium Friday night for an ACCAC matchup.

The Lady T-Birds hold a 2-9 overall record and are 1-7 against ACCAC opponents. MCC is 1-4 in their last five games with their lone victory being against South Mountain, 6-1. In their last game Mesa fell to Pima, 3-0.

The Geckos come into the game with a 3-7-1 overall mark and a 2-6 conference record. GCC is also 1-4 in their last five matches with their lone victory being against PVCC, 4-0.

With just four games left in the regular season the Lady T-Birds must begin their push for the playoffs on Friday. Glendale currently holds the fourth and final playoff spot with three conference wins. In order to have a chance to sneak into the postseason MCC will have to tally some victories and hope the Gauchos trip up down the stretch. That is also not taking into account CGCC and Gateway who both hold two conference wins each.

The schedule aligns generously for MCC down the stretch as they will play Gateway, CGCC, PVCC, and Glendale before the season is over with. All except PVCC are teams that are ahead of MCC in the standings.

The game will kickoff at 4:30 P.M. and can be watched live via T-Birds Sports Live.
