  Mesa, AZ – A penalty kick in the 105th minute spelled the difference as Cochise edged the Mesa women's soccer team, 1-0, Saturday at John D. Riggs Stadium.

  The MCC defense held the Apache attack scoreless for the first 105 minutes, despite being out-shot, 18-3.

  Mesa goalkeeper Sarah Banks and turned away 17 shots.

  The victory was CC's seventh in a row and improved their record to 10-3 and 7-1 in ACCAC play, while the T-Birds fell to 2-10 and 2-6.

  MCC goes back into action Tuesday visiting South Mountain for a 3:30 p.m. contest.
