Phoenix, AZ - The Thunderbirds women's basketball team has clinched the No. 2 seed for the NJCAA Region I Div. II playoffs with a win over South Mountain Tuesday night, 76-60.
The victory also marks the lady T-Bird's 12th 20-win season in the last 14 years.
The regional playoff semifinals will be next Wednesday as Mesa will host Scottsdale at a time TBD. The winner will advance to the regional championship game on March 11th versus the winner of Chandler-Gilbert and Pima.
