Mesa Wins 60-49 Against Cochise College Saturday Night

Mesa, AZ - It was a great night for basketball as the Mesa Thunderbirds women's basketball defeated the Cochise Apaches, 60-49, at Theo Heap Gym Saturday.

Leading the way with 17 points was Mykah Anderson, who shot 5-14 from the field, connected on one three-pointer and shot 6-6 from the free-throw line.  Also scoring in double-figures was Jayla Johnson, scoring 12 while also collected four assists and four steals.

With the win, Mesa moves to 3-1 on the season and 1-0 in conference play.  Mesa plays at South Mountain next Tuesday night at 5:30 pm.
