#20 Mesa Scores 62-52 Win vs Eastern Arizona

Mesa, AZ - The #20 Mesa Thunderbirds women's basketball team stopped its two game losing skid by beating a very competitive Eastern Arizona squad, 62-52, Saturday afternoon at Theo Heap Gym.

Getting big point contributions for Mesa was Myka Taliman, who scored 14 points, Jacey Salabiye, who scored 13 points and Zyan Smith who scored 12.

Not only was it a big win overall but it's another conference win to help Mesa stay atop the ACCAC DII standings into heading the final three games of the regular season.

Mesa will play at home the next two dates, next Wednesday at 5:30 pm vs Scottsdale, then Saturday at 2 pm vs Chandler-Gilbert.  The final game of the regular season will be at South Mountain on Tuesday, February 25th at 2 pm.
