MCC Softball looks to snap losing streak against Chandler-Gilbert on Tuesday

MCC Softball looks to break their seven game losing streak on Tuesday as they travel to Chandler-Gilbert for an ACCAC doubleheader.

The Lady T-Birds have struggled out of the gates in their conference schedule after winning their first contest of the season against Glendale, they have dropped their last seven.

The lack of pitching depth and timely hitting has plagued Mesa so far this season. Catilina Sanchez who ranks second in innings pitched in the conference has pitched 10 times as many innings as the next T-Bird pitcher with 64.2 innings.

MCC has been in multiple opportunities in games this year to make opponents pay for an error or allowing a runner to get an extra base but the Lady T-Birds have failed to turn those opportunities into runs on the scoreboard. Mesa ranks 12th in the conference in RBI's this season with 47.

After Mesa had their DH with Paradise Valley rained out this past weekend they will turn their attention to Chandler-Gilbert and Gateway this week. MCC will travel to CGCC on Tuesday for a DH, first game begins at 12pm, second at 2pm. On Saturday the Lady T-Birds will host Gateway in a DH, first game beginning at 12pm and the second at 2pm.
