Softball NJCAA Region I playoff preview: Mesa Community College vs. Chandler-Gilbert Community College

The Lady T-Birds of the softball team will take the field on Friday at 10:00 a.m. as they take on No. 4 seed Chandler-Gilbert in the NJCAA Region I tournament.

After both teams lost their opening game of the tournament they have an opportunity to fight their way back if they can earn a victory in their early slated contest.

Both teams seem to be evenly matched as they split the four games they played against each other. In the two losses to the Coyotes MCC only lost by one run while in both of their victories they won by an average of 7.5 runs.

If MCC wins they will take on the losing team of the No. 1 seed South Mountain and No. 2 seed Phoenix College at 4:00 p.m. If they lose their run in the NJCAA Region I tournament will come to an end.
