The MCC softball team picked up two conference wins Saturday afternoon against Yavapai.
In game one the T-Birds blew the game out of reach from the Roughriders in the 6th inning as they scored six runs to put the game on ice as they claimed a 8-1 win.
Game number two was highly competitive as both teams traded blows throughout. MCC led 7-1 through the first three innings but YC came storming back in the 4th and cut the MCC lead to just one, 7-6.
In the end MCC was able to close out game number two, 12-9 Jerzey Gutierrez came in during the last few innings and were able to quiet Yavapai's bats to help her time earn the victory.
