The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released their Week Three NJCAA Division II Cross Country National Coaches' Poll for both men and women on Wednesday.

Men's Cross Country:

The MCC Men's Cross Country team held their ground at the No. 1 spot in the nation for a second straight poll. The Thunderbirds are coming off of a 13th place finish in the field of 26 at the Highlander Invitational. MCC was led by Jorge Trujillo who finished 49th with a time of 24:49.9.

Women's Cross Country:

The Lady T-Birds dropped one spot from the Week Two poll as they come in at No. 5 this week. Mesa did not record a team score in the Highlander Invitational as only Carmella Baldwin (92nd -  22:21.6) and Regina Raimo (127th - 23:12.2) were the only two Thunderbirds to run the 6,000m course.

Carmella Baldwin did earn her second ACCAC Runner of the Week honor for her performance at the Highlander Invitational as she posted a 5:59.8 average mile time all while running the best time for a two year school in a field with multiple NCAA DI programs.

MCC Cross Country will be back on the course on Friday as they will compete in the Mesa College Rampage hosted by Mesa Community College.
