Men's XC soars to top spot in nation while Women's XC claims fourth best.

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released their Week Two NJCAA Division II Cross Country National Coaches' Poll for both men and women on Wednesday.

After their impressive performance at the ACCAC Championships last Saturday, the MCC Men's Cross Country team find themselves at the top of the poll this week for the first time this season. The Thunderbirds gained two spots from the Week One poll.

The MCC Women's Cross Country team fell two spots from their Week One position to the No. 4 spot. Carmella Baldwin was the bright spot for the Lady T-Birds in the ACCAC Championships as she finished first and was the Conference Champion.Bladwin was also named National Athlete of the Week.

MCC will be back in action on Oct. 14 as they will compete in the Highlander Invitational.
