Yotuel Garcia Named NJCAA Men's DII Runner of the Week

Charlotte, N.C. - Yotuel Garcia of the Mesa Thunderbirds men's cross country team was named the NJCAA Div. II Men's XC Runner of the Week for his performance at the Mesa College Jamboree last Saturday.

The NJCAA announced the weekly honors on Wednesday.

Garcia won the jamboree with a personal-best time of 25:09 for 8000 meters. This was the third straight race that Garcia has won.

Garcia and the rest of the T-Birds will compete in the Manny Bautista Invite on Friday. Hosted by San Diego Mesa College at NTC Park.
