Carlon, Rast, earn top ACCAC/Region I men's tennis honors

  Mesa, AZ - The Region I champion Mesa men's tennis team has picked up another pair of honors.

  No. 1 singles and doubles player Beto Carlon is the ACCAC/Region I Player of the Year and head coach Feroz Rast is the Coach of the Year.

  Carlon finished the season a perfect 8-0 in regional play, winning all matches in straight sets. He was 15-1 overall.

  Rast, in his first full season as head coach, guided the T-Birds to their seventh consecutive Region I title with a 6-0 record.

  The T-Birds will be moving on to the NJCAA Division I National Championship beginning May 17in Plano, Texas.

  Numerous other MCC players earned all-ACCAC/Region I honors. Below is the list.
