Mesa Soccer travels to take on best in the nation on Saturday

Mesa Soccer hits the road on Saturday as they travel to take on Phoenix College. The two teams have met previously this season as MCC opened their season up against the Bears. PC came away with the victories in both the women's (7-0) and men's game (3-0).

Phoenix College soccer comes in with the best men's and women's DII teams in the country as they both sit atop the NJCAA rankings.

Women's Soccer

The Lady T-Birds are coming off a 6-1 victory against South Mountain on Tuesday. Hailey Hough led MCC to victory as she scored three goals in the contest. 

No. 1 Phoenix College comes into the match with a perfect 6-0 overall record and a 3-0 conference mark. They have outscored their opponents this season, 34-2 in their six games.

Men's Soccer

The No. 11 Thunderbirds come into the game with a 2-1-2 overall record and a 0-0-2 conference mark. In their last three games MCC has gone 1-0-2 with a victory over Paradise Valley and a tie against both Eastern Arizona College and No. 2 Arizona Western College.

The No. 1 PC men's team comes in with a perfect 5-0 overall mark and a 3-0 conference record. In their last three wins against Paradise Valley, Gateway, and No. 5 Pima the Bears have outscored their opponents 19-2.

The women's game will kick off at 4:30 P.M. while the men will follow at 7:00 P.M.
