No. 7 men's soccer was able to keep their offense hot in their final regular season game against Gateway as they defeated Geckos, 11-0.

The scoring came early and often for the T-Birds as they had six first half goals, and five second half goals. Mesa shared the wealth as eight different players were able to find the back of the net. Adnan Elaqad, Danny Ramos, & Jesus Nunez each scored two goals in the game, while Gabriel Waters, Tony Perez, Brody McConahay, Marco Martinez, and Abdiel Beltran each had one goal. Mesa was able set eachother up all night on the offensive end as 10 of the 11 goals were scored thanks to an assist.

With the win the team improves their record to 12-3-1 overall, and 7-2-1 in conference. They now hold the second seed in the playoff seeding which means they will host a playoff game next Tuesday in the ACCAC semi-finals against Pima. In their only matchup against the Aztecs earlier in the season, Mesa was able to pull the upset over the No. 1 team in the country at the time, 2-1.

This season has been the best in recent history for the program as their 12 wins is the most in a season since 2003, and their .781 winning percentage is the highest since 2001. In comparison to last season, this year's squad won three times as many games and scored over double the amount of goals they scored last season. A truly tremendous turnaround by Coach Ronan and his team.

The playoffs are now set as Phoenix holds the top seed and will face the four seed Glendale, while Mesa owns the number two seed and will play the number three seeded Pima.

The game will kick off Tuesday Oct. 25, at 6:00 PM at John D. Riggs Stadium.
