Men's soccer heads to Pma for Region I first round game Tuesday
MESA, AZ - For the second straight year the Mesa men's soccer team will play in the Region I playoffs and for the second year in a row their opponent will be Pima with the game in Tucson.
The contest will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday. The game will be played at the Kino Sports Complex North Stadium.
The T-Birds earned the No. 6 seed in the regional with a 5-1 win at Paradise Valley Saturday. That gives MCC an 11-9 record.
Pima enters the contest as the No. 3 seed with a 15-4-1 mark.
It will be a tough task for Mesa which has played the Aztecs twice this year, losing 3-0 and 4-1. Pima also won the regional game a year ago, 2-0.
