Trachsel leads men's golf to third place at South Mountain Invitational
Phoenix, AZ – Led by Tyler Trachsel the Mesa men's golf team placed third at the South Mountain Invitational played Tuesday and Wednesday at the Legacy Golf Resort.
Trachsel used a second round three-under-par 68 to finish tied for fourth place at 72-68—140, two under par. That helped the T-Birds to a 284-283—567, just one shot behind second place Glendale which carded a 283-283—566. South Mountain won with a 279-279—558.
The T-Birds' Warner Beach and Jacob Trevino tied for tenth place. Both shot steady, two-over-par 72-72—144.Ben Yehle tied for 15th place with a 74-71—145.
Up next for MCC is the Paradise Valley Invitational, April 19-20 at the Gainey Ranch G.C. in Scottsdale.
