Another Third Place Finish for Men's Golf at Estrella Mountain Invitational

LITCHFIELD PARK, AZ – For the second straight tournament, the Mesa men's golf team placed third in an event, this time the Estrella Mountain Invitational played Monday and Tuesday at the Wigwam Golf Resort.  

MCC shot a 292-298—590 to trail tournament winner South Mountain (285-27—559) and was just three shots in back of Eastern Arizona which had a 291-296—587 total.  

For the T-Birds the top finisher was Alex Trevino who carded a steady 72-72—144 and tied for fifth place. T.J. Katherineberg tied for seventh with a 73-72—145 and Jake Gerard was Mesa's third scorer with a 79-74—153 to tie for 25th place.  

The T-Birds will next play in the Pima Invitational Feb. 29 and March 1 at the Silverbell G.C. in Tucson.
