Men's Basketball hosts Scottsdale on Saturday in conference action

MCC Men's Basketball looks to snap their six game skid on Saturday as they host Scottsdale Community College.

Holding a 4-10 record (2-6 ACCAC) the Thunderbirds are coming off a 61-76 loss at the hands of South Mountain on Wednesday. Led by Anthony Garcia's 17 points, the Thunderbirds struggled to shoot the ball going 18-51 from the floor and 4-15 from deep in the game.

Mesa held tough with the Cougars in the first half, trailing just 31-28 going into the halftime locker room. But giving up 45 points on 63% shooting sunk MCC in their hopes to come out victorious.

Scottsdale enters play on Saturday with a 7-5 overall record (3-4 ACCAC). The Artichokes are also riding a losing streak as they've dropped their last five contests after they fell to Glendale 76-64 on Wednesday night.

This will be the first meeting between the two clubs. Last season Scottsdale came out on top in both contests.

The game will take place at Theo Heap Gymnasium and will tip-off at 4:00 p.m.

Admission for the game is FREE with the donation of a non-perishable food item that will benefit the Mesa Market!
