Timmy Johnson earns Region and Conference honors.

Men's basketball guard Timmy Johnson earned All-ACCAC 3rd team recognition and was named to the All-Region DI 2nd team for his 2022-23 campaign.

The sophomore guard led the Thunderbirds in scoring this season averaging 13.1 points per game on 46.5% shooting from the floor. He set a new career high in points (26) and assists (10) this season. 

Johnson made quite the leap from his freshman year to sophomore as he improved his PPG by 5.5 points and his assists per game increased from 2.2 to 3.7.

Johnson and his team will get the chance to continue their season on Saturday. as they will take on Cochise College in the first round of the Region I DI playoffs.
