Mesa basketball welcomes Arizona Western College to Theo Heap Gymnasium tonight for another ACCAC battle.
Men's Basketball
The MCC team comes into their match up with the Matadors holding a 7-13 record (3-10 ACCAC). The T-Birds are winners of one of their last five as they lost their last game against CGCC in the final minutes, 60-62.
The Matadors come into the game with a 15-6 record (8-5 ACCAC). Winners of two of the last five, AWC is coming off back-to-back overtime losses to Scottsdale which went to double overtime and Cochise.
The first time these teams played, AWC came out with the victory, 85-68.
Women's Basketball
The No. 11 Lady T-Birds come into the game with a 15-5 record (10-3 ACCAC). After losing back-to-back games for the first time this season the team got back on track in their last game against Chandler-Gilbert, 78-56.
The Lady Matadors are winners of three of their last five as they hold a 14-6 record (7-6 ACCAC). Their last two victories against Scottsdale and Phoenix College were by an average of 48 points.
The first time these teams met the Thunderbirds came away with the victory, 66-56.
The men's game will tip-off at 5:30 p.m.followed by the women's game at 7:30 p.m.
