Men's Basketball Adds 6-9 Newcomer

MESA, AZ - Fresh from its Region I, Division I, championship and 26-5 record, the Mesa men's basketball team has added some size for the 2014-15 season in the person of 6-9 Kyle Bingham.

Bingham will join a team that had one of the best season's in MCC history.

The 6-9, 210-pounder from Mesa's Mountain View H.S. averaged 12 points and ten rebounds per game for coach Gary Ernst's team that won a state championship in 2011, Bingham's senior year. He has since served a two-year LDS mission in Brisbane, Australia.

Not only did the T-Birds win the regional title, but they also captured the ACCAC championship as well as the title in the Fiesta Bowl Junior College Shootout, the top regular-season tournament in the nation.
