MCC Baseball held their annual alumni game on Saturday, giving the program a chance to celebrate their past players, coaches, and teams.

Mesa Baseball celebrated the 10 anniversary of the 2014 NJCAA World Series Championship team and the five year anniversary of the 2019 NJCAA World Series Runner-Up team before the game.

Minnesota Twin Kody Funderburk was in attendance as he was honored by the program by adding a baseball along the outfield wall with his name on it, a tradition whenever an MCC Baseball Alumni makes an appearance in the MLB.

Longtime assistant coach Doug Rose had his number retired and was honored by the program and head coach Tony Cirelli for his 25 years of dedication to Mesa Baseball.

As a surprise head coach Tony Cirelli was awarded a plaque commemorating his induction into the NJCAA Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

The event had a great turn out as it does every year, bringing the community together, helping old friends and teammates catch up and remember their times as Thunderbirds.
