Mesa, AZ - The #11 Mesa Thunderbirds swept a double-header with the Dawson Buccaneers Thursday afternoon, 7-3 in seven innings and 6-2.
Mesa head coach Tony Cirelli used a medley of pitchers throughout both games, giving pitchers some innings because of the bulk of the games being played towards the end of the week.
Jake Denham earned the victory in game one while Connor Coerper earned the victory in game two, with Jackson Shepherd earning the save in game one and Nolan Ruff earning the save in game two.
With the two victories, Mesa earns its 19th and 20th victories on the season.
The T-Birds will be back in action this weekend when they host Western Nebraska on Saturday at noon then host Madison Tech on Sunday at noon.
