M&W Cross Country Both Ranked No. 2 in Week 3 National Coaches' Poll

New Orleans, La. - The Mesa Thunderbirds men's and women's cross country teams are both ranked second overall in the week three edition of the NJCAA Division II Cross Country National Coaches' Poll.

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released the rankings on Wednesday.

The men's team moved up one spot while the women's team dropped one spot. However, the lady T-Birds did earn a first-place vote.

Several T-Bird athletes will close out their season this Saturday at the Mesa Open, with postseason competition starting the following Saturday, October 29th, at the ACCAC/NJCAA Region I Championships in Coolidge.
