Mesa Finishes 10th in Annual Daktronics Cup Survey
Mesa had its best finish in the Daktronics Cup since the 2016-17 season with a 10th place finish in the Scholarship Division of the NJCAA. The Daktronics Cup is awarded annually to the top programs based upon results in NJCAA national tournament competitions. The Scholarship Division has well over 400 members.
MCC has now finished in the top 10 nine times since the cup was first awarded in 2003-04. The T-Birds won the cup the following year. Mesa has finished among the top 25 in the nation every year except last year when MCC did not compete in eight sports due to COVID-19.
This year, Mesa was the top finisher among ACCAC schools.
The cup is administered by NATYCAA, the National Alliance of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators.
