MCC Women's Volleyball will take to the court on Wednesday as they travel to take on No. 1 Scottsdale CC in an ACCAC showdown.

The Lady T-Birds will have a tall task on their hands as they take on the undefeated No. 1 team in the country who hold a 15-0 overall record and a  10-0 in conference mark.

SCC has lost just four sets on the year and only been pushed to five sets on one occasion as the No. 14 ranked CGCC Coyotes took them to the wire.

MCC comes in recovering from being swept 3-0 by CGCC on Friday as they hold a 9-11 overall record (5-5 ACCAC).  Mesa has lost three of their last five matches with one being a 3-2 nail-biter to Eastern Arizona College.

MCC and SCC met once this year in Sept. as the Fighting Artichokes took a clean 3-0 victory over the Lady T-Birds.

MCC will need to find quality wins down the stretch as they make their final push to the postseason. Mesa currently holds the fourth and final playoff spot but have the chance to catch CGCC for the third seed as there is only a one conference win difference between the two.

MCC will need to also stave off South Mountain who hold the fifth seed with four conference wins. SMCC and MCC play each other next week and that game could help determine who will make and miss the postseason.

The match will begin at 7:00 p.m. and take place at Scottsdale Community College.
