Mesa Volleyball Falls to CGCC in Season Finale

Mesa, Ariz. - The Thunderbird's volleyball team wrapped up their 2022 season with a loss to #10 Chandler-Gilbert at home on Friday night.
The first two sets did not go Mesa's way, as the Coyotes handled the T-Birds, 15-25 and 10-25.
The T-Birds tried to make a comeback in the third set, but ultimately fell short, 22-25.
It was also Sophomore Night for the Mesa players. The student-athletes that were honored were Jess Goldsmith, Maci Lopeman, Taylor Van Winkle, Karla Ramirez, Cassidy Wakefield, and Madilyn Diveley.
Mesa ends the season with a 5-13 overall record and a 4-11 ACCAC record. CGCC (14-5 overall, 12-3 ACCAC) will move on to the NJCAA Region I, Div. II playoffs.
