Women's TF Finishes 14th at Outdoor Nationals

Hutchinson, Kan. - The Thunderbirds women's track & Field team finished 14th overall with 17 points as the 2022 NJCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships wrapped up on Saturday.

Kaprice Faraci and Sara Jacobson earned All-American honors in the javelin. Faraci was fourth (37.72m) and Jacobson was fifth (36.62m) as both athletes earned their first career AA honors.

Karsten Deakin earned her second AA honor of the meet after throwing a personal-best mark of 43.82m and placing sixth overall in the discus throw.

Kate Brockman was 21st (19:32.73) in the 5000m run. Click on the link below the view the complete results.

In the final team standings, the T-Birds were the second-highest ranked ACCAC/Region I team and had seven athletes earn All-American honors throughout the meet.
