Brockman and Deakin Earn All-American Honors on Day Two

Hutchinson, Kan. -  The Thunderbirds women's track & field team had two athletes earn All-American honors on day two of the NJCAA Division I Outdoor Championships.

Kate Brockman earned her second AA honor of the meet with a sixth place finish in the 3000m Steeplechase (11:48.69). Anna Harmon was ninth at 12:02.29.

Karsten Deakin earned AA honors in the shot put with an eighth place finish at 12.77m.

In the heptathlon, Sara Jacobson finished ninth overall with 4105 points, just one point off from eighth place. Shay Bernal was 10th with 3857 points. 

Zana Ryan finished 23rd in the 100m dash prelims and lowered her personal best down to 12.04. Brooke Stradling was 13th in the 800m prelims (2:20.75). The 4x400m relay (Zaria Hamilton, Ciara Bardwell, Jacobson, and Stradling) finished 10th in the prelims with a total time of 3:56.56.
