Women's TF Wraps Up Day One of Outdoor Nationals with One All-American Honor

Hutchinson, Kan. - The Thunderbirds women's track & field team had a relay team earn All-American honors on day one of the NJCAA Division I Outdoor Championships.

In the 4x800m relay (Anna Harmon, Katherine Bonham, Kate Brockman, and Brooke Stradling), the women finished eighth overall to earn All-American honors after running a total time of 9:50.29.

In the women's 4x100m relay prelims, Ciara Bardwell, Zana Ryan, Zaria Hamilton, and Kaitlyn Doyle ran a season-best time of 47.28 seconds, but were unable to qualify for the final after finishing 11th.

After day one of the heptathlon, Sara Jacobson (11th, 2338 points) and Shay Bernal (14th, 2286 points) will be looking to close the gap on the top eight on day two.

In the hammer throw, Kaprice Faraci was 10th (41.22m), Julianna Perez was 11th (40.64m), and Karsten Deakin was 13th (39.42m). In the 400m dash prelims, Hamilton was 21st at 1:00.41. Click on the link below to view the live results.
