Women's TF Continues to Improve at Cody McBride / Mesa Multis

Phoenix, Ariz. - The Thunderbirds women's track & field team had four athletes either add their names to the qualifying list or improve their qualfying marks at the Cody McBride and Mesa Multi Invitationals.

At the Mesa Multi, Sara Jacobson scored 4357 points in the heptathlon, which currently ranks her first in the NJCAA.

Kate Brockman qualified in the 800 meters with a new personal best of 2:20.06. This is Brockman's second event she has hit a qualifying standard for this season. Anna Harmon was second at 2:28.16.

In the hammer throw, Karsten Deakin (45.05 meters), Kaprice Faraci (43.74 m), and Julianna Perez (43.27 m) each qualified and all recorded new PBs. Deakin also hit a new PB in the shot put (13.16 m).

Harmon ran a new PB in the 5000 meters (19:27.91) on Thursday night. Kaitlyn Doyle was third in the 100-meter dash with a new PB (12.86). Katherine Bonham ran a PB in the 400-meter hurdles (1:08.34), missing the qualifying standard by 1.50 seconds. The women's 4x100 relay (Ciara Bardwell, Doyle, Zaria Hamilton, and Zana Ryan) was second with a total time of 50.50 seconds. Click on the links below to view the complete results.
