Women's T&F Competes at PVCC Indoor

Phoenix, Ariz. - The Thunderbirds women's track & field team competed at the PVCC Indoor Invitational on Saturday.

Kate Brockman was able to dip just under the 1000-meter qualifying mark with a 3:10.72. Brooke Stradling finished just behind at 3:13.47.

Karsten Deakin hit the qualifying mark for the second straight week in the shot put (12.26 meters), while Julianna Perez was second at 10.96 m. Deakin also finished second in the weight throw with a 13.57 m mark.

Ciara Bardwell won the 400-meter dash in 58.61 seconds and edged herself closer to the qualifying time of 58.18.

Makayla Engelhardt (5:32.76) and Anna Harmon (5:47.51) went 1-2 in the mile. Kaitlyn Doyle placed second in the 60-meter dash (8.01) and third in the 200-meter dash (25.76). Anessa Rodriguez-Davis was second in the long jump at 4.99 m.

Three athletes have now qualfied for the NJCAA indoor championships after two meets. Click on the link below to view the complete results. The T-Birds will travel to Central Arizona College next Saturday to compete in the CAC Indoor Invitational.
