Yuma, AZ – Not only has the Mesa women's soccer team faced a schedule loaded with nationally-ranked teams, but Saturday they met the highest scoring team in NJCAA Division I as they fell to Arizona Western, 6-0, on the road.
AZW, which is averaging 9.75 goals per game and ranked No. 15 and unbeaten at 8-0, scored four times in the first half. MCC is now 1-9 overall and 1-5 in conference play.
The T-Birds will be back in action on Tuesday when they visit Paradise Valley, a team they lost to earlier this year, 6-2, at 3:30 p.m.
