No. 20 men's soccer, women's team, both face Yavapai tonight
Mesa, AZ – The Mesa men's soccer team will be taking on one of the most storied programs in NJCAA history, while the women will face one of the newest tonight at John D. Riggs Stadium.
The 20th-ranked T-Bird men enter with a 6-2-1 record overall and 1-1-1 mark in ACCAC play. YC, which has won seven NJCAA Division I national championships, has a 3-1, 1-1 record.
Meanwhile, the MCC women will be meeting a second-year program in the Roughriders. Mesa is 1-6 and 1-6 in all games and 1-2 in the conference YC has a 3-4, 2-0 mark.
Both teams won over Yavapai last year with the men taking a 3-0 win and the women scoring a 6-2 win.
The men will kick-off first at 4:30 with the women following at 7:00 p.m.
