King in second going into final round of Paradise Valley Invite

Freshman Addison King shot 80 (+10) and is in 2nd place trailing by 5 strokes going into Monday's final round. Addison is the 3rd ranked player in the ACCAC and is coming off a 3rd place finish at the Lady T-Bird Classic at her last event. 

Fellow freshman Mary Tukuafu shot 88 and teammate Raquel Pargas 92 and find themselves (13th) and (16th) respectively after round 1. 

Alyzzah Vakasiuola (ranked #1 in NJCAA) did not compete in this event, therefore Mesa did not post a team score and is not eligible for a team conference award. The Lady T-Birds have won 19 of the last 20 conference events.

''We can only control what we can control so I'm proud of the ladies focusing on that. The pin placements need 100% of our attention and we will do a better job day two," said head coach John Guerrero. 

Second round play begins at 9:00am at Encanto GC.
